This SONY PCGA-BP2E Battery gives me 3 hours of power which my Sony VGP-BPS5 Battery only gave me 2. But It's too expensive. Allows me an additional 2.5 hours of use. Must be swapped with computer turned off . Cost a lot of $$$$$$$. Bur it was cheaper on laptopbatteriesinc.com.au,SONY PCGA-BP2E Batteryis just need $64.99.I was told original battery would last 6 hours and it only lasts 2.5 hours as does this one. Should be able to have 2 batteries connected at same time or a battery to computer power cable so that I don't have to turn off the computer when using second battery. Would be nice to piggy back them so you did not have to turn off computer to change, also a charging station for the spare would be handy.
Tips of how to charge your Sony PCGA-BP2E Battery
1):When you prepare to charge for your SONY PCGA-BP2E Battery ,make sure the temperature is around the room temperature.
2): Most battery can be fully charged in about 3 hours so do not leave a battery in a charger for a long time.
3): Do not charged to higher voltages than its threshold voltage ,as it would become unsafe. Especially need to pay attention is avoid over-charging and over-discharging.
4): Please notice this: It is not very distinct to reduce the charge time by increasing the charge current .
5)When your laptop adapter is working, it can disturb your radio and TV. So take multi-charger away from them.
