A supposedly long-lasting notebook battery has introduced the California start-up company in Fremont Energy Leyden. Compared to conventional Dell Inspiron 1525 battery, the energy density is higher, will remain at 60 degrees temperature stable and lose less power over life. After 36 months the battery still have 80 percent of capacity.
The technique is a lithium-ion DELL Studio 1537 battery technology with a special electrolyte. The electrolyte is prepared from a lithium-ion salt.
The new technology enables a higher energy density and longer operating time on one Dell Inspiron 1520 battery charge. The production costs should not be higher than traditional batteries. The batteries will be initially sold in Canada as a replacement Dell Inspiron 1545 battery with a warranty of three years.
